Show it off! Each member may bring one piece of art per meeting. It must be your own original work. It may not be copied from a photo in a newspaper, magazine, book, published material, or photos take by a professional photographer. The work does not have to be matted or framed. Everyone who attends the meeting gets to vote. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, place ribbons will be awarded, along with corresponding checks for $15, $10, and $5. The second Monday of each month is our open paint day at the mesquite Arts Center from 10am to 5pm. You may bring anything you would like to work on...and don't forget to bring your own lunch! NO TURPENTINE OR SOLVENTS ALLOWED. You do not have to be a member to participate.
Refreshments
One (1) member signs up to host each meeting by bringing snack foods, making beverages, setting up the refreshments table, and is responsible for clean-up. We recommend arriving about thirty minutes early to set up when volunteering to sponsor refreshments for a meeting. (Members may buddy up for this.) TAA provides drink mixes, napkins, glasses, and utensils. Please contact ......... for more information and/or signing up to bring refreshments. Members appreciate the artist who brings the yummy food!!! Favorite recipes can be found under here under TAA member recipes.
For the Holiday Party each December, all members bring food and a $5 gift to include in a fun gift-swapping game!
